PFC. Omar E. Torres Charter School

In June of 2009, the UNO Charter School Network (UCSN), formally United Neighborhood Organization (UNO), decided to take an old factory on 47th street and construct it into a school in the Archer Heights neighborhood.  The new school would consist of three schools, two elementary and one high school.  The building of schools would become known as "Veterans Memorial Campus" with each school named after three Hispanic-Americans whom served in the military.

We were very honored to hear that one of the elementary schools would be named after our hero, Omar - formally named PFC Omar E Torres Charter School.  As we continue to strengthen our ties with the school, we attend the Kindergarten and 8th Grade graduations to show our support for the education received by the Torres students.
